We are looking for an experienced community fundraiser who will be responsible for the development, management and delivery of a portfolio of community fundraising activities the successful candidate will have proven experience of increasing net income, superb communication skills and be a confident marketer with a passion for digital.

The post holder will work closely with the Community and Corporate Fundraising Manager to enhance and implement the Community Fundraising Strategy, including leading on delivering, reporting and evaluating the current DIY and In Celebration fundraising portfolio as well as identifying new community fundraising opportunities.

Lead on the recruitment, management and motivation of supporters including individuals, organisations, volunteer fundraising groups and volunteer speakers and ambassadors.

Management and development of new and existing Community Fundraising Volunteers including direct supervisory duties.

Provide excellent supporter care (in accordance with agreed  supporter journeys) to ensure that supporters feel valued and engaged with the charity.

Ensure that all fundraising activities meet legal requirements, best practice and internal policies.

Represent the charity externally at fundraising activities and meetings including organising and delivering face to face meetings with supporters in regions and larger supporter engagement events.

Assist in the development and implementation of the Community Fundraising strategy including reporting on and evaluating the current portfolio and identifying new opportunities.

Manage the marketing of the Community Fundraising team’s programme of events and activities in order to recruit target number of supporters, including creating supporting print materials and digital content.

Monitor, analyse and report on income and expenditure and comply with all reporting requirements.

Contribute to achieving Community Fundraising’s income targets, identify shortfalls in performance and prepare and implement contingency plans to ensure financial targets are met.

Maintain database records, ensuring that all relevant information about supporters is promptly and accurately recorded (in accordance with the Community Fundraising database policy).

Work closely with colleagues across the Fundraising and Communications Department to identify cross selling opportunities and liaise with colleagues in the International team to ensure efficient flow of information.

Provide administrative support as needed including answering general phone calls and sending out materials. Work closely with the Supporter Care team to ensure the agreed levels of administrative support are delivered.

Be a convincing ambassador and advocate for the organisation and its mission, actively promoting the aims and activities of Brooke to external audiences.
