Senior Legacy Officer (Administration)

Fundraising & Communications - Legacies
Permanent
£40,743 per annum
Central London

Legacy income is vital to The Brooke, funding nearly two thirds of our work. Our Senior Legacy Officer’s role in administering legacies is key to maintaining and building that income. You will manage a case load of residuary and contentious legacies, as well as overseeing and guiding the legacy officer’s work on their caseload.

Working closely with the legacy manager and colleagues working on legacy fundraising, you will help promote legacy awareness, so that we continue to build legacy income.

You’ll need to demonstrate real competence in legacy administration for charities and have an appropriate legal, ILM or STEP qualification. Matching that with communication skills that will enhance our work with executors and supporters, you will also demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail in your work. An understanding of legacy marketing and how legacy administrators and fundraisers can work together is highly desirable. We value people who demonstrate that they can self-manage, plan and organise their work, and respond well in an organisation that is developing fast.
