Action for Animal Health was launched in July 2020 at the UN High Level Political Forum and a subsequent podcast and article in the Independent have further outlined the aims of this initiative.

There is a pressing need to develop a mechanism for promoting a shared policy agenda and actions on animal health system strengthening to gain the commitment and investment required. This initiative replicates mechanisms that have been long established in human health. The coalition held the inaugural meeting in December with current members including global and regional organisations and partners such as AU-IBAR, ILRI, VSF, Dogs Trust and OIE. This is an initiative currently led by Brooke. The co-ordinator role will be based at and funded by Brooke.

If you have what it to takes to advance agendas at the highest levels, actively listen, support joint working and be part of this growing movement for change, we want to hear from you!

We seek a strong communicator with animal or public health technical and external affairs (advocacy, policy, campaigns) exposure and experience. Your experience of partnership working, influencing and drawing together stakeholders from a range of disciplines is essential, along with an ability to take initiative in this new role.
