This administrative role will directly support the strategic duties of the Restricted Funding Adviser, helping to ensure that Brooke is adequately positioned to secure, grow and manage restricted income over the coming year.

Currently restricted funding represents around 10% of Brooke’s total income (c£1.8m). As the fundraising climate becomes increasingly competitive in a post Covid landscape it is more important than ever that Brooke maximises income diversification opportunities. The Restricted Funding Assistant is essential to this process, ensuring accurate, timely and concise financial and written records are maintained weekly, as well as other administrative support, as a foundation for effective funder relationship management.

Other duties will include assisting with restricted funding agreements and coding, reviewing concept notes and project summaries, as well as checking and prompting colleagues around compliance and reports.

A track record of successfully administered restricted funding will enable Brooke to maintain and grow this revenue stream and ultimately help underpin the sustainability of the organisation.

In order to excel in this post you will need to have excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of individuals across a range of organisational functions. Additionally, the successful candidate will require an experience of accurate maintenance of databases and compiling concise reports for a range of internal and external stakeholders.

A GCSE in Mathematics and English or equivalent is essential, as well as an understanding of the Institute of Fundraising codes of practice and Data Protection legislation.
